From Sola Ojo, Kaduna
THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Kaduna State seem to have picked up their pieces and regrouped to re-strategise on how to bounce back stronger in 2019.
Although the gathering did not have bigwigs like immediate past vice president Mohammed Namadi Sambo, former governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, his deputy, Ambassador Nuhu Audu Bajoga, Senator Danjuma La’ah in attendance, party faithful insisted on facing the reality on ground. Chairman on the occasion, Senator Ahmed Mukhtar Aruwa, reiterated the need for party members to stand up and work together towards winning back the state in 2019 instead of playing blame games.
“Elections have been held, won and lost. We were defeated and we accepted defeat. So, the most important thing now is to stand up and plan ahead of 2019. The issue of pointing fingers at one another on why we failed must stop.
“Now, people of Kaduna State have realised that they made a mistake by voting that party and some of them have apologised to us. So, we must take advantage of this and work for the unity of our party to succeed in the future elections,” Aruwa appealed.
