Regain Health To Address Health Concerns and Obesity: Key to a Healthy Eating Plan

One of the biggest health concerns that most developed countries experience today is obesity. This is simply saying it needs more awareness and education. It is not that hard to overcome this with some knowledge and just a little bit of will power. Most of the people in this situation are just oblivious or don't understand the facts, that this is possible only through changes. It is proven fact that the biggest percentage of illness and diseases is food related.
Being overweight can lead to dramatic health complications such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, which can become fatal later in life. Secondary to that, health concerns like hypertension and even osteoarthritis develop due to excess weight. For many people looking at quick fixes such as diet pills etc. this will be of no benefit. There are these health conditions associated with obesity and the best way to change it is with a healthy eating plan. Yes, it all begins in disciplining your attitude towards food, because correct food is mainly consumed as the body's fuel. In fact, even people who don't need to lose weight should consider a healthy eating plan.
Why? Because this helps them from developing metabolic disorders later on. If you start right with your food intake, then you need not worry about blood chemistry results later in your life. While most of your peers would complain of soaring blood sugar levels or high uric acid, you would still be eating any food you want. So, what is the key to a healthy eating plan? Here are some pointers worth considering that can lead to a healthy lifestyle.

10 Myths That Obese People Believe, and How to Overcome Them

Being a doctor and working with people for over 20 years, trying to help them get healthy has given me a different perspective on obesity. I think I have heard every excuse in the book. Because of this, I no longer tell people what they want to hear, but rather I tell them the truth.
The truth begins by finding out the reason for overeating. Your own personal reason may be different than that of anyone else. In dealing with obesity it is important to understand why you are overweight. If you don't deal with this issue, you will not be successful in your efforts to lose weight.
In one case, a woman came in to see me saying she wanted to get off of her diabetes medications because they took away all of her energy. I explained that since she weighed over 250 pounds the fat would prevent her from achieving her goal and we would have to deal with that. She came in faithfully every two weeks for over a year, but didn't lose a single pound. She said she was doing everything I suggested, but it just wasn't working. Finally, in frustration I dropped my head into my hands and questioned, more to myself, "Why aren't you losing weight?" She timidly answered, "Because I don't want to." I looked up, amazed, "Why not?" She went on to explain that she had seen a man on TV who had lost a hundred pounds and they showed his skin hanging down from his arms, legs, and abdomen. "I don't want to look like that!" she blurted out in tears.

Facelift Procedures to Make Your Face Even More Beautiful

For a woman or man looking for a complete facial rejuvenation, nothing does the job better or more completely than the traditional facelift. But if you aren't ready for full facelift surgery, there are other procedures available, which enhance specific areas of the face.
Traditional Facelift
The traditional full facelift is the most comprehensive approach to treating the wrinkles and sagging caused by the environment and aging. During a facelift, excess skin is removed, underlying tissues and muscle are tightened, and the skin is re-draped onto the face and neck. The traditional facelift can correct midface sagging, marionette lines next to the mouth, jowls and a double chin. This surgery remains the 'gold standard' for facial rejuvenation.
If you find your face no longer accurately reflects your true youthful spirit and energy, and the facial sagging, lines and excess skin on your face have begun to bother you, you may wish to consider a full facelift.
Thousands of people undergo successful facelift surgery each year.

What Has to Be Known About Lung Cancer?

Lung cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed types of cancer affecting close to 2 million people every year worldwide, and killing approximately 75% of those who have are affected. Although studies have proven that there has been a decrease in incidence of lung cancer cases since the mid 1980's, present epidemiology is still alarming.
According to the surgeon general lists of the United States, 21 deadly diseases are caused by smoking, including lung cancer. Even though most smokers know what would be the effect of smoking, they are still addicted and continue using the tobacco products or the primarily industrially manufactured, the cigarettes. Approximately half a million smoking-related deaths, including both direct and secondhand smokers, have been reported every year, and out of that half a million, about 437,000 of those are direct smokers.
With 2 million people diagnosed to have lung cancer every year including 150,000 Americans, people may ask how likely one could acquire the disease? Basically, this disease could be acquired through exposure to carcinogens. It could be environmental or occupational. Smoking remains to be the number one risk factor for developing this cancer. Almost 80% of the lung cancer cases are projected to tobacco smoking and exposure to secondhand. Other possible causes of cancer are exposures to asbestos, halogen ether and chromium.

Brain Tumor Cancer Types And Treatment Options

Brain cancer is a disease in which particular cells in the brain grow and form a mass that interferes with the general functioning of the brain like muscle control, sensation, memory and such other functions that help you control your body. Tumors that are made up of cancerous cells grow and spread to other parts of the brain. These are called malignant tumors. Those tumors that are non cancerous, do not spread and are basically localized. These are called benign tumors. Primary tumors are those that develop in the brain cells. Secondary tumors are those that develop in other parts of the body and then spread to the brain. These are also called as metastatic tumors.
Brain cancer grades
There are four different classifications of brain cancers:
Grade I - Benign tumors with a slow growth rate. Look like normal brain cells.
Grade II - Malignant tumors that look less normal than Grade I tumors.
Grade III - Malignant tumors that look very different from normal cells. They grow actively and look distinctly abnormal.
Grade IV - Malignant tumors with distinctly abnormal looking cells that grow and spread rapidly.

The Transforming Power Of Supernatural Love

What do we know about love? Do we know what love is? Human as we are, we do not naturally know what true love is!
But it is possible for persons to experience a continuous measure of true love!
So let us look at some pointers to true love--shown in the book of absolute truth--the Holy Bible.
The truth about true love--cannot be gotten from this world--as it now is!
It would help to believe love can be taught by--only One Person. That Person is Jesus Christ. He is "... the way, the truth, and the life;" (St.John 14:6).
However, it is not possible to experience the secret things of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit--if one is not in communion and fellowship with them!
True love--is God's love. It is--supernatural! It goes beyond the natural! Although it is given--in measure--to the believer, it is powerful! It never fails. It is the work of God's Holy Spirit. It is given to anyone who believes and follows Jesus Christ--and is allowing Him to transform their mind and heart.

New Book Will Be Artist's Best Friend for Career and Life

Anyone who thinks you cannot make a living as an artist had better think again because Heather Allen is not only here to prove that old myth wrong, but she is ready to share common sense about being an entrepreneur and how to make a career out of your passion.
As a self-employed author myself, I wish I had been able to read this book when I first set off to support myself through writing and related activities. Let Your Creativity Work for You is the perfect guide for anyone who wants to set up a business, who wants to make a living through his or her artwork, and who isn't afraid of making money or being a success. It's time for people to quit thinking that being an artist means having to starve in a garret. Great artists deserve to be appreciated and make a viable living, and the world deserves great art to make it a better place.
Early on, Heather addresses this issue through one of the many artists she interviews, Jason Hoelscher. She states, "They didn't have professional development classes when Jason Hoelscher was an undergraduate. In fine arts studies courses, the notion of combining artistic skill development with career and income opportunities remains, as it has historically, off limits." However, Jason reveals that artist solopreneurs can be successful by doing three things:
1. You must be strategic in your approach.
2. You must do your research.
3. You must be in it for the long haul.

New Book Claims True Leadership Lies in Acknowledging Human Imperfections

James Robilotta has held a variety of roles in his life from student leader to student affairs professional to stand-up comedian, public speaker, and personal life coach. Those experiences have given him the opportunity to lead, be led, and help develop new leaders, which ultimately led him to a powerful realization: "I see a problem in today's developing leaders-they think they need to be someone they are not to get what they want. This mentality negatively impacts the way they communicate and build relationships with their peers, coworkers, and supervisors."
James can see this fault because it's one he's admittedly had himself; for example, in high school he took on multiple leadership roles not because he was committed to being a leader but because of how it would look on his resume, and in college, he tried to dress well to fit in with popular ideas of what it meant to be "fresh." Fortunately, James became aware of these faults and changed, as well as learned to laugh at himself and use these stories as examples to illustrate the importance of his message on leadership. Now in his new book, Leading Imperfectly: The Value of Being Authentic for Leaders, Professionals, and Humans Beings, James argues that the mistakes we make and our imperfections are where we learn our most valuable lessons; those character flaws are what eventually mold us into being successful leaders who are unafraid of sharing our imperfections.
The idea of imperfect leadership resonates for James because it gives us a human place to connect with others. He states that allowing ourselves to be imperfect "increases open and honest communication between all levels of the hierarchy because you will then be leading from a place of support and understanding instead of one of fear and pressure."
