Re: Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria

Biafra best for Igbo
BIAFRA is the answer. It’s better to thrive in a divine and naturally designed space than struggling in a vast territory of insecurity driven by ethno-religious and regional animosity. There is secured future in Biafra. The Jews and Arabs are repulsive in nature. Nigeria is a failed idea. 08091214564.

Denial of self-determination savagery
YOUR essay was great. The most devastating act of savagery is to deny a person or people the right of self-determination, philosophy and psychological advancement. The logic that Igbo would lose property should there be Biafra does not stand as Nigerians own property in Britain and America. Rev. Monye J. Gold. 08038854922
Spirit of Biafra lives on
THE spirit of Biafra lives on as long as injustice is meted out to Ndigbo in Nigeria. Pharm. Okwuchukwu Nijike. 08038854922.
This is opportunity to fight for presidency
I read your article, ‘Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria,’ and it was interesting. It’s quite unfortunate that our self-serving leaders will not make use of this opportunity to fight for Igbo presidency. Yoruba used June 12 to achieve theirs. What’s wrong with our leaders? Why do they think they can achieve the presidency without a fight? Pastor Okere G. 07050993320.
Great article
MAY God’s blessings continue to keep and strength- en you. Your article on ‘Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria,’ is great, as usual. Elliot Uko. 08033005361.
Thanks for your stand
GOD bless you for defying all odds to stand up and be counted. This is what I call patriotism to your fatherland. You have spoken well, my brother. May your pen never lack the grace to speak the truth without any fear or favour. Pastor Martin’s Anodebe, Enugu. 080 34284195.
People joining Biafra
YOU started your article well but ended woefully. For your information, reasonable people are joining Biafra struggle. 08036247812.
IPOB demands getting childish
IT pains to know that the IPOB are somewhat getting childish with their demands. The question I ask them is: On what grounds are they asking for the State of Biafra? The Igbo remain yet the most paced and the most buoyant tribe in Nigeria with investments, like you wrote, largely outside Biafran heartland, yet they speak of marginalisation. The precipitates of statehood is also lacking in their struggle, thereby lending credence to the claim that the struggle is merely an anti-Buhari movement. Tibet, Hong Kong, Aland, Kashmir and Judea are all territories with sensible reasons as to why statehood should be given to them. Certainly Biafra is no where near this list. IPOB prides itself in conducting peaceful protest. I think that claim is somewhat deluded. How can they speak of peaceful protest when, in fact, the roads are jammed, economic activities brought to a halt and destruction of property prevail. Instead of clamouring for a state, we should ask for better democratic reforms and constitutional amendments that would see the burgeoning of Nigeria as the Americans and South Africans did and are still doing. I, however, do not agree that the presidency should be conceded to the Igbo as appeasement; that would be political auctioneering at its crux. The essence of democracy is victory to the most popular candidate. This is a democracy, not a market place. Igwemba Chukwugoziem, 08082209245.
Govt appointments bad
GOD bless the breasts that fed your growth. On Biafra, you said it all. Add the government’s deliberate subjugation of the zone to the recent postings in the custom’s department without doubt the taunting is real. I am born Azubike. Remain blessed, my brother. But to every beginning there is an end. It is a matter of time. 08035077454.
Biafra dream’ll come to pass
THE agitation for Biafra by Ndigbo is a good one; but let us follow it with due process to avoid causalities. It is time to answer our father’s name. We must follow it logically to actualise our dream of going to out Promised Land. The dream must surely come someday. Gordon Chika Nnorom, Umukabia. 07084644222.
Igbo can’t be trusted
IGBO can’t be trusted; that’s why Nigerians of other tribes will not vote them as president or serious positions. God can’t allow that. God doesn’t support their moves. Paul. 08064415168.
Igbo saboteurs should learn
YOU are a patriotic citizen and a true Nigerian for daring to speak the truth about the spirit of Biafra among the Igbo. I am with you in this understanding. I wish the Igbo saboteurs who are sellouts would learn from you. Ven. Dr. MP Ifeanyieze. 08037410516.
Only Buhari’ll solve the problem
YOU are, indeed, Onuoha. May God continue to bless you because for Oyegun to have insulted the Igbo race, accusing them of committing political suicide is unacceptable and an insult likable to the sin against the Holy Ghost, which is unpardonable. No wonder he suggested the minister of state for Imo of all states. Let it be so. Meanwhile, Mr. President is the only one that has the capacity to quell the agitation and NOT by the use of the GUN. Igbokwemodo, 09099718048.
Biafra ghost’ll haunt them
THANKS my brother. The ghost of Biafra will haunt Nigeria till eternity. 09092960629.
Igbo should stand up
I am very grateful for your article, ‘Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria.’ I always tell our brothers to fight these things you mentioned in paper. Thank you so much. God will give you more wisdom to continue your good news. God bless you. You will live long to speak the truth. Ernest, Anambra. 08090944785.
It’s Biafra or nothing
THANKS for your write up on ‘Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria.’ However, it’s Biafra or nothing. 08170705149.
Biafra dead and buried
I read your article on Biafra. I hope you publish this my response to you. Biafra is dead and buried. When Igbo were one, Biafra collapsed like a pack of cards. Read the last days of Biafra by Col. Ben Gbulie. The four South East states can never belong to one country again, not to talk of the southern minorities that sabotaged the dead Biafra. If Nigerian government allows us to secede, the four Igbo states will agitate to be separate countries, resulting in our killing ourselves. Igbo need the whole world to operate freely. I urge my good people of Igbo nation to be humble and meek, but with a lion’s heart wherever you reside. Biafra will restrict us to a small enclave. Aghanya Ibe, Ogilisi Ibo, Retd Commissioner of Police. 08072290133.
If Igbo can’t wait for 20 years, too bad
WHERE were the Igbo when Jonathan sidelined the Yoruba? One to 83 on order or protocol, only three Yoruba were there. If the Igbo opt out of Nigeria for a landlocked, poorly irrigated land, abandoning property all over the country, we will be witnessing the power of vocal minority. Two years ago, SGF, all financial heads and COAS were Igbo. It is turn-by-turn in Nigeria. if they cannot wait for 20 years minimum, too bad. Car- dina Wole, Abuja. 08055567777.
Who says we’re one Nigeria
YOU wrote well by telling them that the “Ghost of Biafra will continue to hunt Nigeria.” Please, write more on their injustice on Ndigbo. Have you heard Federal Ministry of Education admission to Unity Schools? Who says we are one Nigeria. Aso Aso. 08055312381.
Nigeria should repent
MY brother, your article on Biafra was superb. Repentance is the only option for Nigeria. More ink to your pen. Emenike, cartoonist. 08055134573.
Nigerian founded on fraud
“GHOST of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria,” your article of instant refers. The problem with Nigeria is the fact that the country is founded on fraud and sustained by fraud. It is also a jungle where the strong take full advantage when it has the advantage. How did the Igbo politicians treat the minority tribes prior to and immediately after independence? Owen Browne. 08033839298.
They’re avoiding the truth
THEY know the TRUTH but are shying away from it. Thanks for blessing my day with your piece, ‘Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria.’ Uzomba Kanu J. 08032910874.
Kudos to you
KUDOS for your article ‘Ghost of Biafra will continue to haunt Nigeria.’ Macdonald 08162578000.
We must condemn Obasanjo, Gowon, Mohammed
AS I am begging Biafra protesters to STOP, I will like Nigerians to condemn Obasanjo, Gowon and Junaid Mohammed for insulting statements against the Igbo tribes. Romanu, Idiroko. 08024209181
Biafran flag’ll fly at UN
THE Biafra flag will fly among the comity of nations soon at the UN. Mark my word. Did the Nigerian Army under Jonathan declare their so called rules of engagement in the North against Boko Haram? No. Britain has continued to show her bias for the North over the South East and South-South, with their regular nocturnal visits to the political and religious leaders from Sokoto to Kano. O. Sylva, Abuja. 07081369442
