Heavyweight Coach: Guardiola can help Oliseh out – Pinnick

By Tony Ubani
President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Melvin Amaju Pinnick yesterday threw more light on the offer of a ‘’Heavyweight’’ coach to the Super Eagles to solve the lack of goals by the Sunday Oliseh-tutored team.
‘’I’ve received calls by many people wanting to know if we are hiring a coach to take over the job of Sunday Oliseh.
That is absolutely out of it. Perhaps, I was misquoted or misunderstood. But, what I meant was to solve the problem of not scoring goals by the team.

This could be in a way of internship with big teams like Bayern Munich. And remember that Sunday Oliseh is the Pep Guardiola of Nigeria and it will be interesting for him to interface with Guardiola’’.
Pinnick said that the NFF were 100% satisfied with the job of Oliseh since he took over the reins of Super Eagles from Stephen Keshi.
‘’We have no regrets employing Oliseh and he has delivered 100%. We at the NFF will give him everything he needs to succeed.
And remember that Nigerians want results. It is in this line that we want to see that Oliseh has everything at his disposal to bring joy to millions of Nigerians. We’re not hiring a foreign or new coach or heavyweight coach. We’re happy and satisfied with Oliseh’’, Amaju said.
The Super Eagles have scored four goals in five competitive matches under Oliseh and the coach has remained unbeaten.
