Organize yourself
January is always financially tight because of the additional expenses during Christmas. Notwithstanding, do not sulk about your financial status. You can take time to review your finances before you start spending for the month. The success of organizing yourself, especially your finances will go a long way in determining whether the cookie will crumble during the month.
Theft of Lincoln’s hand baffles Illinois Museum
About all anyone knows is that a plaster sculpture of the 16th president’s hand, proudly displayed for years at the Kankakee County Museum, has been missing from its shelf since at least Dec. 11.
Any art theft would be jarring in Kankakee, a working-class city about an hour’s drive south of Chicago, but because of its connection to Lincoln, the loss of this sculpture has touched a nerve there.
Museum officials had thought that the theft might have been a prank, and that the plaster study would resurface in a few days. The police hoped someone might provide information about the theft after seeing a Facebook post by the department, which included photographs and described the hand as roughly “the size of a 8-10 pound ham.”
The local newspaper, The Daily Journal, published an editorial pleading for the thief to come forward.
“We are blessed to have such a fine museum with an impressive inventory,” the editorial said, “but the collection is not complete without Lincoln’s hands.”

Anything Less Than 100% Focus Is Not On
It has been said many times over the years, and still too many salespeople think that it is OK for them to ignore a prospect once the prospect brings something up that they consider to be a vital issue. In fact, with some of those that I've managed or trained over the past years, they openly share that they were taught that way to counter an issue whenever they got into a tight situation, but when they were probed about how often they sold in situations such as this the answer was generally an "I don't know," then when they were pressed further mostly they admitted they didn't sell at all after they had thought things through.
Firstly you need to listen, and here's why listening is so important and let's hit the nail on the head before we start. The conversational opposite of listening is ignoring, and what most us put little value on we tend to ignore. Positive messages attract us all and we will mostly find time to pay attention to something we value. On the other hand, we tend to give little time to anything of little interest to us, and for that reason we tend to ignore it - because it has little value or not. That may not be the cases many times because so many salespeople can become so engrossed in what they are doing at the time that they may just ignore others to stay on track with the sales message.

Why do we resist change so strongly, treating it with suspicion and doubting its benefits. Is seems as years pass we become even more resistant to change, treating new things with trepidation.
Perhaps that is why children and young people have grasped the internet so positively, become technology literate quickly and so easily understand the intricacies of a laptop and its workings, plus all the other technological gadgets on the market
Young children exposed to different languages seem to pick them up with ease, is it because when we are young we believe we can do anything, everything is an exciting adventure; whereas as we get older we become more cautious and weigh up the pros and cons, and even doubt our ability to absorb with ease, the technology and digest the information.
I have an XP laptop which has to be around 10 years old, I love it, I replaced it with a reconditioned windows 7.
To try and make the transition to windows 8 easier I did purchase a Windows 8 manual which had great illustrations etc. However fear of the unknown took over and I decided on a windows 7. There are good things about it, it is faster, it has a much clearer screen etc but I still prefer to us my old XP and put up with its slow loading and other ideosyncrasies. Besides which my XP has a pale coloured keys, which as I don't touch type, are much easier to see in poor light, and I prefer the storage system of my XP. Long live my XP!

1. Get up out of your chair. Posture plays a huge role in how our motivation increases or decreases. If you get up and stretch your arms over your head and out into a big circle down the sides of your body, you inject life into your posture very quickly. Do this 5 times and you will loosen up your shoulders and back and your breathing will be deeper, giving you a simple boost in energy. Then try to incorporate daily movement into your routine. Your body and your mind will thank you!
2. Finish what you start. Incomplete work is a big barrier to motivation. When you look at your desk or you task list, what is left unfinished? Take one project and get it done, now. Then moving forward, tackle each project through to completion and you will see a very fast shift in your mindset - one that supports success and happiness.

In one case, a woman came in to see me saying she wanted to get off of her diabetes medications because they took away all of her energy. She came in faithfully every two weeks for over a year, but didn't lose a single pound. She said she was doing everything I suggested, but it just wasn't working. Finally, in frustration I dropped my head into my hands and questioned, more to myself, "Why aren't you losing weight?" She timidly answered, "Because I don't want to." I looked up, amazed, "Why not?" She went on to explain that she had seen a man on TV who had lost a hundred pounds and they showed his skin hanging down from his arms, legs, and abdomen. "I don't want to look like that!" she blurted out in tears.
What Has to Be Known About Lung Cancer?
Lung cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed types of cancer affecting close to 2 million people every year worldwide, and killing approximately 75% of those who have are affected. Although studies have proven that there has been a decrease in incidence of lung cancer cases since the mid 1980's, present epidemiology is still alarming.
According to the surgeon general lists of the United States, 21 deadly diseases are caused by smoking, including lung cancer. Even though most smokers know what would be the effect of smoking, they are still addicted and continue using the tobacco products or the primarily industrially manufactured, the cigarettes. Approximately half a million smoking-related deaths, including both direct and secondhand smokers, have been reported every year, and out of that half a million, about 437,000 of those are direct smokers.
With 2 million people diagnosed to have lung cancer every year including 150,000 Americans, people may ask how likely one could acquire the disease? Basically, this disease could be acquired through exposure to carcinogens. It could be environmental or occupational. Smoking remains to be the number one risk factor for developing this cancer. Almost 80% of the lung cancer cases are projected to tobacco smoking and exposure to secondhand. Other possible causes of cancer are exposures to asbestos, halogen ether and chromium.
Brain Tumor Cancer Types And Treatment Options
Brain cancer is a disease in which particular cells in the brain grow and form a mass that interferes with the general functioning of the brain like muscle control, sensation, memory and such other functions that help you control your body. Grade IV - Malignant tumors with distinctly abnormal looking cells that grow and spread rapidly.
