Seven signs that you’re a social media addict

By currency
IT is 9 a.m  and you’re  yawning at work. No one but you knows that your weary eyes are not as a result of a crying infant or take home assignments. You spent all night watching funny videos on instagram, and reading through one interesting post after the other on Facebook.
Now you are sleepy. You can’t lay your head on your desk, but at least you’ve got internet access to keep yourself awake. It is for that reason that you begin the cycle again; photo after photo, video after video, comment after comment, switching tabs as soon as you see your supervisor approaching. You already know that too much of everything is bad, but you don’t think it applies to you in any way. No more living in denial, if one or more of these applies to you, then you’re a social media  addict!

France closes ‘radical’ mosque after big police raid

Police shut down a suspected radical mosque east of Paris in a huge security operation Wednesday, the third to be closed since France declared a state of emergency after last month’s Paris attacks.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said “three pseudo-cultural associations” linked to the mosque at Lagny-sur-Marne were also being dissolved, the first time the government has used its special powers to wind up such groups.
Two other mosques were closed last week at Gennevilliers in the northern suburbs of Paris and in the small town of L’Arbresle near the central city of Lyon.
The closures are part of a huge security crackdown after 130 people were killed in the jihadist attacks on Paris on November 13.
“Such measures to close mosques because of radicalisation have never before been taken by any government, including during the last state of emergency in 2005” after rioting broke out across France’s troubled suburbs, Cazeneuve said in a statement.
