Russian sculptor creates chocolate sculpture of Putin and his dog

Russian artist Nikita Gusev has created a life-size sculpture of  President Vladimir Putin made entirely of chocolate.                              
Gusev used 70 kilos (154 lbs) of chocolate to make the sculpture that was commissioned by and will be the main attraction at the city’s Chocolate Festival. He also made a chocolate sculpture of Putin's late dog, a Labrador named Connie.

On the eve of our wedding anniversary, I was clueless as to what to get my husband. My friends had told me of a great men’s store. I went there but everything looked familiar, either I’d already given him these things, or they were too mainstream for me. I’m a lady of class and I make no excuses for that, my hubby was a great guy and I was looking for something out of the blue, something that I wouldn’t have done on a normal day.
I laid down and thought for hours, but nothing came and I fell asleep with my earpiece on, only to be woken up with “My Darlin” by Tiwa Savage, I missed him even more. It was still, and will always be, our best song as it was played on our wedding day. I got up and unlocked my phone to put the song on repeat; it was playing from a playlist I’d made on the MTN Music App. A thought flew into my head, like a swallow swooping for its prey, I could make a playlist for my husband, from songs telling our life’s story together, all within the App” So I created a playlist including songs we loved, (well, he loved them more than me!). Songs about how we met, fell in love, how he proposed, our wedding, our first child and most of all, songs that truly explained how much I loved him.

Ex-MTV Reality star Chris Carney dies in car accident at age 35

Chris Carney, who starred in the MTV reality show twentyfourseven, was killed early Friday in a car accident in Arkansas. He was 35.
Carney was the passenger in a vehicle driven by his friend, 37-year-old Ezekiel Blanton, who was also killed. State police said Blanton was driving the vehicle on I-70 early Friday morning when he failed to negotiate a curve, over-corrected and collided with a tree, according to local CBS affiliate KTHV. 
Carney was the husband of former Disney star Tiffany Thornton, whom he wed in 2011. They had two sons together – Kenneth, 3, and Bentley, who was born in March 2014.

The first picture of the mother-turned-killer who murdered 14 people in San Bernardino alongside her husband on Wednesday surfaced on Friday as attorneys representing the couple's family revealed that Tashfeen Malik, 27, wore a burka and didn't speak to male relatives, family members of her husband Syed Farook said, adding that they had never seen her face.
Abuershaid said at Friday's press conference that the Malik who is Pakistani but lived in Saudi Arabia, met Farook through a dating website some time in 2013. Then Farook went to Saudi Arabia to meet her. Then went again in July 2014. Farook returned to the U.S. and the following month, Malik joined him in the U.S. on what is known as a “fiancé” visa, which allows an American fiancé to petition for his or her partner’s temporary entry before marriage. For the visa application, the address she listed in her Pakistani hometown, ABC News discovered does not exist. The couple was married the following month.

Former Finance commissioner in Adamawa state jailed 10 years for stealing N51.5m while in office

A Former commissioner for Finance and Local government and chieftaincy affairs during Boni Haruna’s administration in Adamawa state, John Elias, was today sentenced to 10 years in jail by a Federal High Court sitting in Yola for stealing N51.5 million from the state coffers while he was in office. The presiding judge, Justice Bilkisu Bello Aliyu, ordered the Corporate Affairs Commission to shut down the former commissioner's company, Alhakim Nigeria Limited which he allegedly used in siphoning the state funds.

Justice Aliyu delivered the judgement under section 3 (2) of the miscellaneous act and said the judgement will serve as a deterrent to occupiers of public office holders who may want to filter resources meant for developmental projects.
