A great singer along with a combination of good music can make a great musical composition. Recording a song requires necessary equipment that can capture the voice as well as the music and the result is a great demo. Audio mastering is something that allows a professional technician to take up the demonstration. With necessary equipment and software, one can acquire perfection. Before hiring a professional who can perform such mastering, one needs to keep in mind certain merits that the professional should possess.
• A trained ear - The professional who would perform the necessary corrections should be experienced in what they are to do. They should have the ability to distinguish between the actual song and the background noises that are unwanted. A professional who has been in the industry and has the necessary experience will be able to master the demo well and bring out perfection by removing such disturbances and making them sound amazing.

How to Find the Right Concert Venues

Booking a show in your hometown is easy. You know the clubs that are good for your band. However, if you are heading to a new city, you have to do some homework in order to book the best concert venues for your band.
Capacity
When you are looking for a place to play in a new city, you need to have a realistic understanding of your draw. This number is important when it comes to booking concert venues. You always want to book a site that has a capacity for one less than your expected draw. For example, if you know you can get 50 people in the door, book a place that only has a capacity for 49. You want to sell the place out. It's better for your career to sell out a smaller venue than to have a larger one only two-thirds full. If you aren't really well known outside of your hometown, start by teaming up with local acts that will help improve the show's attendance.
Atmosphere
You need to take into account what type of music your band plays and make sure it's in tune with the atmosphere of the place that you are booking. For example, if your band is a hard metal band, don't book a coffee shop. Similarly, adult contemporary singer/songwriters most certainly don't want to be at a club geared towards head-bangers.

What Your Paw Print Tattoo Means

Paw print tattoos are loved by many and whereas some just have them inked for beauty some have them for a reason. They have deeper meanings to some with the most common being a sign of moving forward, hence the paws are designed to represent a moving animal. Such tattoos have a series of paws progressively getting smaller and smaller and the walk continues. The other meaning could be the love for a pet and the pet could be alive or dead. They are also done in memory of children with each paw representing one child. The meaning depends on what the person wearing the tattoo wants to represent.
Apart from the above, paw print tattoos can go to show personal strengths and virtues, depending on the characteristics of the animal whose paws have been selected. There are so many pawed animals apart from your cat and dog and by knowing what each animal paw symbolizes, you can choose the print that best describes you.

The Benefits of Balanced Content

Everything needs to be balanced. Our diets, our lives, the tires on our cars. Although we may overdue it on the pizza on occasion or work more than we should more frequently then we like, we all know and understand this reality. Even when our diets or lives are out of balance we typically notice and make a concerted effort to level back out in a reasonable period of time.
So balancing content?
This may seem like a counterintuitive concept but let me explain. In my global work with leading speakers, authors, and thought leaders, I've noticed that most content is out of balance. Authors and thought leaders have a tendency or a bias. They are either incredibly academic or hyper focused on business, and this makes sense, given that many thought leaders come from either the hallowed halls of academia or the shining towers of the corporate world. Their world view and perspectives are shaped by their experiences.
Balanced Content
Now there's nothing inherently wrong with leaning towards business or academia. The content market admires, appreciates, and consumes content that leans in either direction. That being said, the best content I've seen is balanced. It has hard data to support the theories and it is peppered with stories and anecdotes based on the content's real world business application. All too often I've heard academics snobbishly dismiss a business book written by a world renowned CEO because it doesn't have an academic underpinning or data. I've also heard many C level execs discount the potential value of content that comes from academia as they claim that it wouldn't work in "the real world" of business.

In This Business, Your Reputation Is Everything

It is no secret that that there is often a negative stereotype when it comes to lawyers. Negative lawyer jokes abound and behind those jokes is the reality of the public perception of our profession.
In fact, the American Bar Association issued an all-inclusive report on the public perception of lawyers in America using surveys and focus groups (1). The results showed both positive and negative perceptions.
The positives included Americans sensing that attorneys are knowledgeable about the law and the majority felt they were represented well by lawyers. Many of those surveyed reported that the legal profession is considered a respectable career.
However, the study also revealed many negative perceptions about lawyers including beliefs that lawyers are often greedy, manipulative and corrupt. Those surveyed reported that the lawyers were not upfront about their fees, overcharged for their services, took too long to resolve cases and were unresponsive.

Supply Chain - A Competitive Advantage for EPC Businesses

In the era of globalization and harsh competition, a Projectized Organization like any other business entity, needs to be adaptive, dynamic and always aiming for continuous improvement. This is vital, otherwise, its survival will be tough. In this context, small details prevail; for example, building a strong and optimal Supply Chain System is a main objective for successful companies and today's Business Leaders. And when we say Projectized Organization, one of its core competencies lies in preparing and maintaining a well-established Planning throughout the Project Phases.
An effective planning can be seized by optimizing the supply chain design and collaborating demand and supply. From there, companies will need to execute their plan by properly managing materials supply; in short, to deliver the right product, to the right place, at the right time and in the right quantities. As it is known, the highest cost impact would arise from the corrective actions that we are forced to take at the end of a project. During this stage, time is restricted, resources are limited, budget is narrowed and customer satisfaction need to stay intact. For that, the execution and operation of EPC projects require close and direct collaboration between the Supply Chain Department and all other internal functional Departments (Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Sales, Finance) as well as the external stakeholders (Suppliers, Clients, Financial Institutions, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers).
Among those who manage EPC Projects, many believe that the E normally is the most important element, as usually the procurement or supply of material depends on decisions made by Engineering. The common setup states that engineering outlines the project specifications crucial to the successful procurement progress. In other words, if engineering is not properly achieved, then procurement fails. However, this does not entail that the Supply Chain has a secondary role in the effective completion of projects.

5 Secrets How To Set Effective Goals That Motivate You

One of the main reasons people fail to accomplish their goals is because they fail to act on their goals. And there are many reasons why they don't take action. And in this article, you will discover the 5 secrets how to set effective goals that will motivate you and drive you all the time.
Goal setting will work for you, if you make it work. If you want to make your goals come true, here are the 5 secrets that you need to do...
1. Always Keep Your Goals In Your Mind
What is out of your sight will be out of your mind. This is why we need to constantly remind ourselves about our goals after we have set them. When you see your goal, you will remember yourself what you need to get done.
There are a few simple ways you can always keep your goals in your mind. For example, you can put your goals somewhere you can see often. Next to the mirror in the bathroom, on the door fridge, on your wardrobe's door, your phone and computer wallpaper, etc.
When you see you goals, you will get motivated and know what need to get done to make them come true.

Anything Less Than 100% Focus Is Not On

It has been said many times over the years, and still too many salespeople think that it is OK for them to ignore a prospect once the prospect brings something up that they consider to be a vital issue. In fact, with some of those that I've managed or trained over the past years, they openly share that they were taught that way to counter an issue whenever they got into a tight situation, but when they were probed about how often they sold in situations such as this the answer was generally an "I don't know," then when they were pressed further mostly they admitted they didn't sell at all after they had thought things through.
Firstly you need to listen, and here's why listening is so important and let's hit the nail on the head before we start. The conversational opposite of listening is ignoring, and what most us put little value on we tend to ignore. Positive messages attract us all and we will mostly find time to pay attention to something we value. On the other hand, we tend to give little time to anything of little interest to us, and for that reason we tend to ignore it - because it has little value or not. That may not be the cases many times because so many salespeople can become so engrossed in what they are doing at the time that they may just ignore others to stay on track with the sales message.

How Fixed in Our Ways We Become

Why do we resist change so strongly, treating it with suspicion and doubting its benefits. Is seems as years pass we become even more resistant to change, treating new things with trepidation.
Perhaps that is why children and young people have grasped the internet so positively, become technology literate quickly and so easily understand the intricacies of a laptop and its workings, plus all the other technological gadgets on the market
Young children exposed to different languages seem to pick them up with ease, is it because when we are young we believe we can do anything, everything is an exciting adventure; whereas as we get older we become more cautious and weigh up the pros and cons, and even doubt our ability to absorb with ease, the technology and digest the information.
I have an XP laptop which has to be around 10 years old, I love it, I replaced it with a reconditioned windows 7.
To try and make the transition to windows 8 easier I did purchase a Windows 8 manual which had great illustrations etc. However fear of the unknown took over and I decided on a windows 7. There are good things about it, it is faster, it has a much clearer screen etc but I still prefer to us my old XP and put up with its slow loading and other ideosyncrasies. Besides which my XP has a pale coloured keys, which as I don't touch type, are much easier to see in poor light, and I prefer the storage system of my XP. Long live my XP!

Simple Tips To Get Motivated Now

Too much to do and no motivation to get it done?
As a solopreneur, the responsibility to motivate yourself (unfortunately!) falls squarely on your own shoulders.
If you were working in an office setting, you have the support of others so it can be easier to stay 'up'.
But on your own, I know it can be tough sometimes.
So here are a few simple things that you can do to help motivate yourself right now!
1. Get up out of your chair. Posture plays a huge role in how our motivation increases or decreases. If you get up and stretch your arms over your head and out into a big circle down the sides of your body, you inject life into your posture very quickly. Do this 5 times and you will loosen up your shoulders and back and your breathing will be deeper, giving you a simple boost in energy. Then try to incorporate daily movement into your routine. Your body and your mind will thank you!
2. Finish what you start. Incomplete work is a big barrier to motivation. When you look at your desk or you task list, what is left unfinished? Take one project and get it done, now. Then moving forward, tackle each project through to completion and you will see a very fast shift in your mindset - one that supports success and happiness.

Use a Business Plant Service to Improve Your Office This New Year

Did you know that plants are a great way to elevate employee productivity and happiness? Well, it's true! A splash of greenery in an office environment has been found to improve performance in a way that expensive desks and chairs cannot compete with, all at a fraction of the cost.
Adding lush, healthy plants to the office actually can increase your profits in the coming year.
How Plants Help
Aside from looking festive and breaking up the monotony of a sterile office environment, plants have practical uses too. They naturally purify indoor air without the use of chemicals or an increase in energy consumption. They help provide employees a connection to nature, giving them positive feelings and increased motivation.
Plants also help to soften the environment and make both staff and customers feel more comfortable.
They offer mental benefits too. Studies have shown that green spaces in the workplace help people to recover faster from stress, increase their patience and give their overall job satisfaction a lift. This, quite simply, provides for a happier and healthier environment. That ultimately leads to higher productivity and financial gain for the company.

How an Onion Seed Business Can Change the World

Originating in central Asia, onions are one of the three well-being crops enjoyed by people everywhere along with tomato and garlic. And the demand for this kitchen staple is increasing each year. Thinking about the onion seed business, it certainly appears to be one that can change the world. Onions are so popular we've even developed sayings about them. There's nothing quite like "knowing your onions".
Seeds Essential for Our Future
Three main varieties of onion are cultivated and these are easily recognized by color: red, yellow and white. These can be categorized into cold-resistant seeds, heat-resistant seeds and functional seeds. Cold resistant seeds can survive the harshest winters. Heat resistant seeds thrive in hot and humid regions, and functional seeds are those with higher yields and resistance to diseases.
Stable Seed Raising Fields
As all shareholders of a thriving onion seed business have learnt, onions will need two years before developing seeds. This is because onions are biennial plants. Cultivating stable seed raising fields can take years of dedication and commitment. Onions must be planted and left in the ground for two years. Flowers and seed-bearing heads form during the late summer of the second season. Dry weather is preferable during the seed raising season to ensure seeds of good quality.

The Benefits Of Buying Second Hand Equipment For Dairy Processing

For dairy manufacturers around the world, purchasing high quality dairy equipment can make the difference between a mediocre product and an exceptional one. As a result, there are constantly new models of equipment on the market aiming to provide even more efficient processing and a superior finished product.
Despite this, there is a high demand for secondhand dairy processing equipment, and this is not without good reason. In fact, there are several advantages to investing in used machines rather that splashing out on entirely new equipment; here are some of those benefits.
One of the main factors that comes into play when buying equipment - whether a brand new GEA Westfalia separator or Trepko butter packing machine - is cost. The reality is, despite how professional and reputable the company may be, and how fantastic their finished products are, that there is often a strict budget to adhere to.
This is especially applicable when it comes to dairy processing machines, which can be particularly costly when it comes to buying brand new equipment. As new models appear on a relatively regular basis, it is only the companies with the largest budgets that can afford to update their equipment so frequently.

The Importance of Developing a Fraud Detection and Prevention Program

Fraud in every form that there is has reached an epidemic proportion which hurts businesses and individuals alike. Entities worldwide lose hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue due to fraud whether through theft, lost or misused funds, embezzlement, asset misappropriation or any other type of crime.
According to the 2014 Report to the Nations on Occupational Fraud and Abuse from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), organizations worldwide lose an average of five percent of revenues to fraud each year for a median of $145,000. Applied to the estimated 2014 Gross World Product, this figure translates to a potential total fraud loss of more than $3.7 trillion (2014)
Economic problems force companies to reduce internal controls which increases the risk of fraud. Fraud detection and prevention is greatly needed and specialists are needed to investigate the crimes. Forensic accounts and Certified Fraud Examiners are the ones to perform these services. As fraud continues to increase it is necessary for all accountants and auditors to learn some of the elements of fraud prevention in order to protect the company for which they work.
Every company needs a fraud prevention plan that can be easily implemented. The following items are the building blocks of a good fraud prevention program.
Build a profile of potential frauds.
Create a risk assessment listing of areas in your business that could be likely to see fraud happen. Determine which types of fraud could occur in each area. Concentrate on risks that could negatively impact the business the most. Include important stakeholders and decision makers. If you identify a particular area as being prone to fraud, include the manager of that area in the discussions.

Why and How to Build Better Brand Awareness?

When you want to eat French fries, do you go to a fast-food restaurant, or a McDonald's restaurant?
When you want to search something online, do you search it online or Google it? When your friend wants to buy something online, where do you think he or she will go? An online shop or Amazon.com?
As these brands have become so well-known, we have already replaced the generic terms for the products name. Manufacturers use names, terms, designs, symbols or other features to distinguish their products from others'. Brand is no longer just trademark for customers to differentiate one manufacturer from another. It is the personality that identifies a product, service or company like a combined character under a person's name.
The importance of increasing brand awareness
It's necessary to do it among consumers for keeping your businesses growing. And it is also fundamental part of any SEO strategy. Imagine a customer typing your brand name as the keyword and search for things, the search result will greatly favor the site of the brand in the query. If it is done right, your marketing will turn some customers to your brand advocates who will actively tell others about your brand and we all know peers' words are always trustworthy to people; as a result, you will see a large increase in revenue from the marketing.

Nigeria gets Africa’s first football pitch lit by players

Africa’s first football pitch lit solely by the players’ movements has been inaugurated in Lagos, the economic hub of power-starved Nigeria, at a ceremony attended by US-Senegalese rapper Akon.
The technology, invented by a young British engineer, consists of placing electronic tiles under the artificial turf, which is converted into power by kinetic energy.
Each time a player steps on a tile, seven watts of electricity are generated and sent to a battery.
The stored power helps to feed six powerful but low consumption LED floodlights that shine on the pitch. Solar panels around the pitch complement the technology, stocking electricity throughout the day.
The system has already been installed at a football pitch in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, in football-mad Brazil, which hosted the 2014 World Cup.
“It’s brilliant,” said Kusagba Oluwadamilola, an 18-year-old sports student, who plays for the football team at the Federal College of Education (Technical), where the pitch has been set up.
“It’s going to be really useful. Until now we couldn’t play at night,” he told AFP.
The man behind the technology, Laurence Kemball-Cook, 30, launched his own company, Pavegen, four years ago.
Since then, the invention has been installed in 150 locations across the globe from parks and airports to shops and even dance floors.

Tips and Tricks for Online Marketing and SEO - How to Promote Your Business/Website Online

There are various ways to promote your website online, some of which just need a bit of your time, while others burn a small hole in your pocket. Needless to say, if you can own and build a website, promoting and marketing for it online won't be much of a pain.
So basically, my online marketing strategy revolves around these few points:
SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) refers to an internet marketing technique that involves the promotion of websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages. It basically involves two methods:
a> Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising
b> Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Pay Per Click is a method of paying a search engine to show your website more frequently in search results as a user searches for a content, while SEO is the method where you actually modify or rewrite your websites' content manually to achieve higher rankings in the search engine result pages.
